I was caught myself snore as I drifted off to sleep. Before
then I had never linked the phenomenon to the tongue, but what
had happened was that my tongue had relaxed and rolled back in
my mouth to block my breathing pipe. I was chagrined, but all I
did was to reposition myself. My husband didn't complain that
night.
There are some kinds of illnesses that cause you to snore. I
have heard that laryngitis and sinusitis tend to have that
effect. If you find you snore a lot, even though you may not be
trying to quit, you should see a doctor ASAP. Check it out and
make sure that it is not some disease, and whatever you find,
do what they ask you to do to make it stop.
It is not unusual to have someone suffering from a cold also
snoring, or someone who is just coming out of some serious
illness. If you are looking to have them stop the habit, just
help them to recuperate the fullest that you can. There is not
much of a big deal in that one.
With all that doctors know of the human anatomy, I don't know
of anyone else that you could talk to to help you stop snoring.
Better even than your dad or mum who are sharing their
experiences with you, what you learn from a doctor should be
right on point. Don't be thinking about it, start doing things
already.
